This one was special.. I had the honour of officiating the wedding for my cousin Bryan and his gorgeous Michelle! With their kids as their wedding party, these two said ‘I do’ in a surprise wedding at the Old Cleveland Lighthouse.

We managed to squeeze the ceremony in before a huge storm arrived. (A little windy as you see my hair in the last pic!!!)

Such an honour to be party of this amazing day! Truly love my job!!

So it’s been a week.. Monday morning I woke up with no voice - like none! Yesterday it wasn’t much better. I had to make the call and find a replacement Cele for my ceremony that was scheduled this morning.
Thanks to who had my back and delivered my ceremony script for the most beautiful couple today. 💗Soooo gutted to miss it.. but I knew the girls were in good hands.

It’s only the second time in my nearly 4 years of delivering weddings that it’s happened. Fingers crossed it doesn’t ever happen again. But in the unlikely event that it does it’s good to know that I have a strong network of awesome celebrants to call on as back ups. My couple did not have to do a thing.. just turn up and get ready as planned. The handover all occurred in the background and it was seamless. Just how it should be. 👌

A bit of advice for couples: talk to your vendors about their back up plans in case of illness. Wedding professionals will have one and it should also be outlined in their contract.

Now time to rest - I have 3 more weddings to deliver this week. My voice is at about 75% today.. fingers crossed it’s back for Chloe & Luke tomorrow!! 💗💗

Awesome afternoon for a surprise wedding ceremony 🎉!! Guests thought they were arriving to an engagement, but upon arrival they saw an aisle, an arbour and a sign saying ‘Welcome to our wedding!’

A super special one for me as the Groom is my cousin 💗

Congrats Bryan & Michelle!! So happy for you x
