In 2019, I was diagnosed with severe heart failure. I had never exercised, my health had hit rock bottom, and my heartβs ejection fraction had dropped to just 20%. I was also diagnosed with atrial flutter β a serious heart rhythm condition that made everything feel even more uncertain. Fast forward to today β my ejection fraction is back up to 65%, Iβve rebuilt my fitness from the ground up, and I
βm running 5Ks, riding trails, and chasing down goals I never thought were possible. StrongerEachStep is my journey from heart failure to heart health β from rock bottom to the road, the trail, and beyond. Iβm training for a sub-30-minute 5K, preparing for a 160km bikepacking trip on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, and rebuilding life through running, cycling, camping, and outdoor adventure.
