This is the dreamy headspace where shoegaze meets ambient electronics.
Out today, is ’s Warning Sign, the first single from ‘Grounded’ (out October 31), featuring beautiful vocals from Belle Butler.

Grounded is the second studio album from Sydney musician and producer Brad Stafford. 2024’s The Imperfect City’s multi media exploration of the fragility of our urban places and lives laid the droning, Lo-fi, dream pop foundations for Grounded, a simultaneously melancholic introspection of the artist, and a quietly despairing but hopeful commentary on the state of the planet and humanity.

We’re excited to share the new Clairaudience song, Nowhere To Run, with you today. The band really liked the way Nowhere To Run came together. Give it a spin. The link will take you to the different listening platforms. In the video they put together there's some snapshots from Danny and Chris's 1989 trip across Europe. The single cover features a shot of Danny taken by Chris in a railway station in Austria back then. Nowhere To Run examines how, in the present, we can get stuck in mental ruts. Looking back to when we were young and free can be an exhilarating diversion. https://www.submithub.com/link/clairaudience-nowhere-to-run

🍏THURSDAY NIGHT🍏 CLAIRAUDIENCE launch their new single and video for MAGRITTE with supports BRAD STAFFORD and MY IMAGINARY FRIEND - TIX available via OZTIX or our BIO!

On the occasion of Magritte’s birthday, Melbourne via New York four-piece Clairaudience are launching their first new music since their acclaimed 2016 self-titled album. Inspired by the 60’s underground and new wave rock, the new Clairaudience single and video, Magritte, is a tribute to the Belgian surrealist and the first missive from their second album.

Since returning to Australia in 2017, Clairaudience have been busy writing new material and honing a new live set which is a blend of raw new wave and melodic post punk. The new album, recorded with Rohan Sforcina at Headgap Studios, is due early 2025. The new single – a tribute to the Belgian surrealist Rene Magritte – features Clairaudience’s first music video, directed by Gabriella Disspain (freezedried).

Joining Clairaudience at The Bergy is Brad Stafford – launching his ambient shoegaze album ‘The Imperfect City’ – and Melbourne slo-core masters My Imaginary Friend.

Today, Melbourne via New York four-piece Clairaudience, is launching its first new music since the acclaimed 2016 self-titled album. Infused with the energy of Ronson-era Bowie glam, Magritte is a tribute to the Belgian surrealist and the first single from the upcoming album The Clueless Hitchhiker. The lineup features on drums, Caroline Jumpertz, bass - Mick Jumpertz,
guitar and vocals - Daniel Jumpertz and on lead guitar - Chris Smales. Check out the link for streaming options and the band's first music video – shot in Paris no less – by up and coming director Gabriella Disspain (aka freezedried). https://linktr.ee/feralmedia

Out today. Brad Stafford's sublime debut album The Imperfect City.

The Imperfect City expresses an ambience of fragility and uncertainty, inspired by the unsettling air of impending failure.

Stafford has been studying, absorbing and drawing maps for 30 years. He sees imperfection, evolution, compromise, constraint and beauty in the urban form from above, and he has meditated deeply about how and where most of us live - The City.

Inspired by Galaxie 500, Low, Mogwai and Boards Of Canada and informed by his vocation as an urban designer, The Imperfect City shimmers with hazy synths, electronic beats and ethereal vocals.

NEW RELEASE ALERT 🚨🚨🚨On C-TONE EP2, the second instalment of Comatone’s 20th anniversary retrospective, we uncover more newly discovered instrumental electronic gems from Greg Seiler’s Blue Mountains sonic enclave.
From the ominously lurching drones of opener Sub MB (2017) to the squelching electro-funk of The Crispy Flakes Of Indifference (2014) Seiler’s cinematic vision is expansive, dramatic and originally eerie as ever.
Phaserate (2002) recalls the playful percussive melodies of Comatone’s 2003 debut album One Into One Out while In Holes 6 (2007) and In Holes 5 (2005) explore Seiler’s trademarked blend of itchy drones, virtuoso drum programming and mutant ambient melodies.
C-TONE 20; is a five EP collection on label Feral Media, celebrating 20 years since Comatone’s groundbreaking 2003 debut One Into One Out. C-TONE 20 is being released on all platforms between now and August 2024 as six EPs revealing 39 unreleased original tracks recorded between 1999 through to 2018, totalling over 200 minutes of, until now, unheard material.

Listen now to the first instalment – EP1 – of C-TONE 20; a five EP collection released this week by Feral Media celebrating 20 years since Comatone’s groundbreaking 2003 debut One Into One Out. C-TONE 20 is being released on all platforms between now and June 2024 as six EPs, expertly curated by Comatone himself (Greg Seiler). The whole C-TONE 20 series will unfold to feature 39 unreleased original tracks from 1999 through to 2018, totalling over 200 minutes of unheard material.
EP1 kicks off with an epic 12 minute cut from 2008; One Mile North, highlighting classic Comatone terrain - floating ambient synths pierced by precise and powerful percussion. Seiler’s tool is the computer and a painstaking process of intuitive editing and sound manipulation which Seiler describes as “process, manipulate, process, process, manipulate.” Artwork by Sean Hogan. https://open.spotify.com/album/5VRieX9U02pswFPddco1ZI?si=TWbTsujLQVmsPsZUyUFKMQ
