I feel honoured to be stepping in as MC for a deeply important and personal book launch as part of Newcastle Writers Festival 🤍

Join us for the launch of Songs of the Thorn Birds by Beth Elliott as well as poetry readings that share journeys of survival, with selected works giving a voice to experiences shaped by domestic violence.

While this is a book launch, it’s first and foremost about raising awareness and vital funds for the incredible work of Nova for Women and Children, who support those navigating these realities every day.

Please note: this event explores themes of survival that may feel heavy or triggering. Support will be available on the day, but please take care of yourself and use your discretion when attending.
