Its a sad day. Early this morning we lost a much treasured member of our MainFM family. Colin Lemon passed away early this morning. We’ll fly the flag at half mast for Col.

Col has been core to getting our signal out to the world - he knew all the secrets of the mysterious machinations, constantly tinkering in the background to keep us on the air, always humble and gentle. Always listening, he loved MainFM and probably knew the grid, our presenters and our shows more than anybody. He’s been a source of support for many of us. When we were stuck it was Col we turned to for solutions. He curated the playlist and made sure our promos fired. He was committed to bringing local music to the airwaves with his much loved show Live n Local. To say he will be missed is an understatement. Sending much love to his family and friends.

I’m sure we’ll gather for a memorial wake in due time, where we can find the words and the music. But for those who would like to join, we’re meeting at The Bridge this afternoon from 4pm. To raise a glass and remember Col.
