We are thrilled to be a presenting partner with Castlemaine Documentary Festival Saturday night Feature Event (Sat 5 July) is a Prison Musical Film and a Glam-pop Band!

We know that Castlemaine is a town full of music fanatics - and CDOC takes that seriously.

CDOC are super excited to present the Victorian Premiere screening of Reas - a genre-bending doco-musical where the inmates of a Buenos Aires women’s prison turn their lives into a stage show.
Reinventing the musical genre, the inmates dance and sing about their past, relive their life as fiction, and through fantasy, invent a possible future for themselves.

Then: let's dance. Sugar Fed Leopards take the stage with full-throttle glam-pop glory!

Have you heard?

The Old Hospital at 1 Halford Street, our station home, has been flooded due to a burst water main. We are currently homeless - but thanks to the dedication and tenacity of our technical team - we are still on the air!

We are broadcasting remotely, which means you will notice disruptions to our regular programming. We are broadcasting pre-recorded shows only ( for now)

Our staff and volunteers are working hard to source solutions, and we hope to find a temporary home. In the meantime, thanks for your patience and for sticking with us. We’ll be back with regular programming soon.

Owing to a burst water pipe at the Workspace building in Halford Street major flooding has forced 94.9 MainFM off the air. For safety reasons, power to the building has been cut. We anticipate being off-air for a few days - until at least Monday or Tuesday. thanks for being understanding. You can still listen back to previous shows via our mixcloud account!

The Micro and Small Business Day event is happening this Friday! June 27th., presented by Mount Alexander Shire Council

Across multiple Castlemaine venues with more than 300 session seats booked already, the day will feature over 40 speakers presenting more than 20 workshops, tours and panel discussions.

This is a day designed for people who run their own small business, those working in one, and just as importantly, anyone thinking about starting their own venture. With 89% of businesses in Mount Alexander Shire being small (five or fewer staff), this day speaks directly to our local economy and community.

Some of the standout sessions include:

🥁 A Creative Industries stream, showcasing how local artists and creatives are building sustainable businesses (delivered in partnership with Creative Victoria).
🐑The Farmers Forum, exploring how local producers are innovating through regenerative and small-scale farming (delivered in partnership with Healthy Loddon Campaspe).

The man. The Hero. The LEGEND. Matty Wilson of Central Spark Victoria was crowned Best on Ground at the MAIN Game after kicking FOUR goals, bringing the Rockatoos to a historic win. There have been calls from the community for Matt Wilson to be enshrined in bronze as part of the new Camp Reserve developments. We think it would be a fitting tribute and make for a valuable addition to the Camp Reserve. Will you sign the petition calling for a bronze statue of Matty to mark this glorious win? 🏆
