What happens when employers, support services and people with disability come together with a shared goal?
The answer is captured in the newly release evaluation report of the WorkAbility Expos Program.
Through WorkAbility Expos, people with disability, including those with high support needs, gained greater understanding of employment pathways, connected directly with inclusive employers, and accessed information about the supports available to help them succeed.
The results were clear:
✔ Participants expanded their knowledge of employment pathways and available supports
✔ Connections with employers created new opportunities for future employment
✔ Workshops increased confidence and readiness to pursue work goals
The report demonstrates that when employers embrace inclusive hiring and people have access to the right information, support and networks, it leads to a more inclusive workforce.
