Forest Creek Folk invites you to an afternoon of choral performance featuring seven choirs from the Bendigo and Castlemaine region.

Hosted by Lucy Armstrong from Main FM, the Eisteddfod brings together a diverse range of local vocal groups in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

All proceeds from the event will go to MainFM, supporting the work of our local community radio station.

The Castlemaine Chorale Eisteddfod is proudly sponsored by Boomtown Winemakers Cooperative, Bar Midland, Front Office, and Forest Creek Records. This project is generously supported by the Mount Alexander Shire Council Events Grants Program.

Date: Saturday 6 September 2025
Venue: Castlemaine Town Hall, 25 Lyttleton Street, Castlemaine
Time: Doors open at 1:00 PM
Event runs 1:30 – 3:30/3.45 PM
Intermission: Around 2:30 PM | Bar available

Growing up in Cobram, Eliott learned to harmonise to Missy Higgins on long drives with her mum. At 18, she set out to chase her own musical dreams, signing a major label deal and releasing her debut EP “Bold Enough”. The EP captured the tension between small-town roots and the sacrifices required to chase bigger dreams in the city. Since her 2023 debut album “just calling to tell you i’m ok”, she’s come full circle—doubling down in the studio and returning to her roots, with songwriting once again at the heart of her next chapter.

🌲FCF Artist Spotlight: Benjamin Trillado

✨ Naarm (Melbourne AU) based singer-songwriter and kindergarten drop-out Benjamin Trillado has always been one to defy rules. When many shy away from their insecurities, their mistakes, and sometimes the ugliness of life, Trillado isn’t afraid to kiss and tell. Growing up in a Filipino household where karaoke was a way for family to connect, music has always been a core part of Benjamin’s identity. Benjamin writes from the lens of a q***r Filipino kid from the western suburbs and represents a voice that he wishes he saw more of growing up. The blatant honesty of his music stems from his closeted youth, and his music serves as a promise to himself to not just tell the truth, but revel in it.

Introducing Forest Creek Fest 🌿 A celebration of songwriting, story-sharing and creative connection — live and in the round at Castlemaine’s historic Theatre Royal.

Presented by Forest Creek Records, this year’s lineup features: Eliza Hull, Eliott, Benjamin Trillado, Sean Riley & Angus Montaigne.

Also making their debut: Forest Creek Folk — a harmony-rich community choir led by label founder James McGuffie, reimagining songs by Fleet Foxes, Adrianne Lenker, Townes Van Zandt, Flyte + more.

Expect unreleased songs, intimate sets, expansive choral moments, and warm, communal energy.
