💛 We read No! I Can’t… Yet! and the kids connected with Liva straight away. She feels like so many little ones, whenever something’s tricky, she wants to give up.

From kicking a footy to answering maths questions, the “I can’t!” moments keep popping up… until she watches a chrysalis turn into a butterfly learning to fly. It wobbles, it tries again, and slowly Liva realises she can too.

💪🏽 A gentle story about growth, mindset and not giving up.

🦋 Bright, expressive illustrations show all the emotions, and it opened up a great chat here about things the kids find hard, and how they can keep trying “just like Liva and the butterfly”.

I’m super happy and grateful to be part of this beautiful project that brings attention to animal adoption and the stories behind it.

It means so much to draw a book on such a heartfelt subject. I truly wish for all animals to be happy, safe, and surrounded by their loving human families. ❤️
Working on Rusty’s story also allowed me to meet such an incredible, kind-hearted family behind this book — and I’m thankful our paths crossed.
