‘Synthetic Hum(AI)nity’ by VANDAL will be the first time in Vivid Sydney’s history that a digital work of art is to be created using generative Artificial Intelligence.

The partnership marks a milestone for VANDAL and and paves a future where humanity, technology and creativity can not only coexist, but also complement each other.

Interpreting the theme of ‘Humanity’, VANDAL’s use of AI will showcase our changing relationship with technology under the themes of energy, time, communication and navigation.

An example of the evolution of humanity’s timekeeping from using the sun, moon, stars, sand, mechanical, digital to atomic devices.

‘Synthetic Hum(AI)nity’ for Vivid Sydney 2024 will be showcased as an architectural projection mapping on the ASN Co Building Clock Tower, May 24th to June 15th. Mark your calendar.
