It is impossible to ignore the parallels between Max Harris’s photos from yesterday’s “March for Australia” and those taken at the nationally disgraceful Cronulla riots of 2005: racist hatred draped in the Southern Cross and Union Jack.

Yesterday’s rally was decorated with Eureka flags and the Red Ensign, symbols popular among Australia’s neo-Nazi movement. We have seen these images before. We have seen Trump and his followers dress hatred in red, white, and blue.

N***s are not welcome here.

We’re run by a seven person editorial team with the goal of showcasing the talent of the UTS student body in not only our print magazine but also through our website.

Vertigo is published in six volumes throughout the year and you can pick up a copy from stands located all around the Broadway and Haymarket campuses.
