International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences- Stephy Publishers

Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used in the treatment of osteo arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, classified in the Bio pharmaceutics Drug Classification system as a Class II drug because it has low solubility and high permeability. It demonstrates a slow and gradual absorption via the oral route and has a long half-life of elimination, rendering a prolonged therapeutic action and a delayed onset of anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. Thus an attempt is made to formulate piroxicam fast disintegrating tablet so that it helps to render faster onset of anti inflammatory and analgesic effect. To increase the solubility of piroxicam solid dispersion method is opted in the present investigation. Study proposes the use of PVPk30 to prepare solid dispersion of piroxicam and comparison of its invitro dissolution with pure piroxicam. Fast Dissolving tablets can be prepared by conventional direct compression method using solid dispersion. For better Hardness, less friability, faster wetting time and less moisture uptake combination of both MCC and Mannitol are used in the formulation.

Journal of Cardiology and Current Trends in Surgery- Stephy Publishers

Early diagnosis of diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) is important for several reasons. First, careful and regular medical follow-up should be offered to avoid neuropathic DFUs. Secondly, optimised glycaemic control and correction of other vascular risk factors (e.g. hypertension, dyslipidaemia etc) should be diligently pursued. Finally, daily foot hygiene and appropriate footwear are indispensable . A number of practical bedside clinical tools contribute to improved early diagnosis, such as the indicator test Neuropad assessing sweat production in the feet, Vibra Tip, the portable NC-stat DPN Check device and others. Neuropad has been extensively studied and confirmed as an excellent, highly reproducible and practical screening tool with very high sensitivity and negative predictive value for DPN, which renders itself even for patient self-examination. Vibra Tip is a pocket-sized portable device which measures vibration perception at the hallux, whose diagnostic utility has recently been confirmed. NC-stat DPN Check is a special device for automated nerve conduction study of the sural nerve, which may be used by all health care professional after minimal training. We have shown that it yields very high diagnostic performance (sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value) in both diabetes types.

Journal of Pediatrics and Clinical Neonatology- Stephy Publishers

Salbutamol is the main treatment for asthma attacks. It can be given via inhaler, nebulizer or oral route. Nebulization is mainly used at emergency departments. The aim of our study is to compare the clinical efficacy of two nebulized salbutamol preparations Ventolin® GSK and Asthalin® CIPLA. We conducted a prospective double blind randomized trial between April and December 2017 in which 30 children with asthma were included. Children were assigned randomly to receive nebulized Asthalin® or Ventolin®, with 15 patients included in each study arm. For each patient, oxygen saturation, presence of wheezing, retractions and thoraco-abdominal asynchrony, before and after Salbutamol nebulization were recorded. The effect of each treatment dose on oxygen saturation and respiratory rate after stratification of the initial population was analyzed. Ventolin® increased oxygen saturation by 1.87% and decreased respiratory rate by 10.87 breaths per minute, while Asthalin® improved oxygen saturation by 1.8% and decreased respiratory rate by 9.53 breaths per minute. However, the difference was not significant as it was not significant for respiratory symptoms improvement and need for oxygenation and hospitalization rates. There is no significant difference between Ventolin® and Asthalin® when given via nebulization. Both treatments improved oxygen saturation, respiratory rate and respiratory symptoms similarly.

Open Access Journal of General Surgery- Stephy Publishers

The laparoscopic surgery is done by using a single port. You place a device through a single incision between 18mm to 50mm and 3-4 trocars can be used. Our work consists of making 3 little incisions to put the three trocars which measure 5 mm and use conventional instruments that measure 36 cm of length of laparoscopic surgery within the internal limits of the umbilicus. Describe the surgery technique and evaluate the initial results of a laparoscopic cholecystectomy option through three intraumbilical incisions. It is a retrospective, descriptive, multicentre and observational study. Since June 2014 to August 2019, 20 patients, 17 females and 3 males, were operated using this method from the age ranges of 16 to 65 years old. The average surgical time was 65 minutes. In all cases the procedures were concluded by the intraumbilical approach. One of the cases had to be re-operated due to intraabdominal bleeding from the posterior branch of the cystic artery. The technique is reproducible; the usual triangulation of the ports is not available. Therefore, fort this technique the surgeon needs to have experience and have had advanced training in laparoscopic surgery. The cases must be selective.

Insidans for transposition of great arterieas(TGA) is %0.5-1 of all congential hearth diseases. There is reverse output of aorta and pulmonary arteries in hearth ventricules. Additionally there is ventriculer septal defect(VSD) in %25 of TGA patients. In some infants there can be either left ventriculer outflow tract stenosis. Arterial switch (Jaten) operation is current accepted procedure for TGA treatment. The Patient with the symptom of severe syanosis from birth have been diagnosed as TGA, VSD and ASD with pediatric cardiology examination in an extarnal hospital. After a withut follow-up period; when 34 months age the patient applicated to our institute hospital by the complains of severe synosis and reduction of effort capacity. According to ecocardiography and angiograghy findings, Arterial switch operation(AS) planned and performed even late age of patient.

Radioactive iodine is the effective therapy in thyroid cancer. The aim of this study is to evaluate the serum tumor markers in patients under the therapy with radioactive iodine 131. 45 cases of female patients aged 16-60 years with thyroid cancer surgery referred to the nuclear medicine department of Nemazi hospital for (iodine treatment after surgery) were selected. The selection was on the basis of interviewing and information of patients is consent forms. Only patients with thyroid cancer and referred for the first time without any other diseases were chosen for this study. The selected patients were prescribed a dose of 150mCi of I-131.From each patient, 4 mL of chelated serum for serological studies on tumor markers and 2 mL of oxalated serum for spectrophotometry studies on cell death were used in three stages. The first stage before the iodine therapy, the second stage, after 48 hours, and the third stage, 30 days after radioiodine therapy were studied and the results were evaluated by the one-way repeated measures ANOVA test

Journal of Pediatrics and Clinical Neonatology- Stephy Publishers

Immune thrombocytopenic (ITP) is an autoimmune disease that affects 9.5/100,000 adults in the population.1 It is characterized by autoimmune destruction of platelets leading to potentially life-threatening thrombocytopenia. About 7% of pregnant mothers are affected by thrombocytopenia with 1 to 10 per 10,000 mothers being affected with ITP. Studies have shown that ITP is generally a benign condition in the birthing mother and rarely has a long-lasting effect on the newborn child.2 In the rare event that the newborn is severely affected, treatment is required. We present a case of ITP in both a mother and her newborn.

Journal of Cardiology and Current Trends in Surgery- Stephy Publishers

Hypertension (AH) is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases in Brazil, which, in 2018, affected about 24.5% of the adult population, reaching 59.3% of people aged 65 and over. (Ministry of Health 2020)1 These levels of prevalence and with an increasing trend have a major impact on morbidity and mortality, with high social cost. In this context, the Unified Health System (SUS) has been developing a strategic action plan based on conceptual bases that involve a comprehensive approach to chronic non-communicable diseases, especially AH, at all levels of activity (promotion, prevention and comprehensive care and organization health services for the care of patients with chronic diseases). The guidelines of the Strategic Action Plan recommend that the care offered should use, in addition to pharmacological therapy, educational actions to change lifestyle (encouraging the practice of physical activity, the consumption of healthy foods and the reduction of salt consumption), monitoring the disease by means of routine examinations and searching for damage to a target organ (ECG and Echocardiogram)2 in specific populations.

Journal of Environmental Science and Research- Stephy Publishers

The entire surface of the earth is visited by the birds in view of their aerial flights and variable habitats in search of suitable breeding and feeding grounds. Flight, intelligence, adaptability and sight are some of the attributes that add to the diversity in the life of birds, consequently there is complexity in their overall behavioral pattern. The key objective of this study was to assess the weaver-bird crop-raiding activity in Buea municipality on different environmental parameters. The study was undertaken for three months, six days in a week, from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Scan observations were made on birds’ activity on a five-minute interval period across the entire study area. Simultaneously, data was collected on the environmental conditions. The study recorded a significant association between weaver-bird activity on crop-land, X2 = 11.653 df=14, P < 0.005 and X2 = 3.441 df=4, P

A better understanding of the forces controlling cell growth will be essential for considering wound healing as a fundamental evolutionary with possibility of scar formation and reparative regeneration and the developing effective therapies in regenerative medicine and also in cancer. Historically the literature has linked to cancer and tissue regeneration-proposing regeneration as both the source of cancer and a method to inhibit tumori-genesis. Aim of this work is to verify similarity and difference between this process un a revolutionary approach. The same verify the evolution
of some factors involved in cancer development .In all this process genetically conserved or not there are determinate kind of program ( finalistic or a-finalistic ) whit a start messages but also a stop when the scope is achieved ( regeneration). It is clear that
egeneration abilities in adult form is reduced in some superior vertebrates like humans and the same it seem related to an introduction of adaptative immunity. This review discusses
two powerful regeneration models the vertebrate urodele amphibians and invertebrate in light of cancer regulation

International Journal of Clinical Research and Medical Sciences- Stephy Publishers

Compassion is necessary in clinical situations because they involve a medical response to suffering and carry respect, a desire to help, serve, and express solidarity. The use of the three “t's” to express compassion has been suggested: talk, take time, and touch (Talk or listen, Give time and Touch or caress). Compassion is part of humanization and involves affection, dedication, respect for the other and considering the person in their total integrity. Doctors and nurses should invite the family to participate in the health care of their relatives. In this act the values and virtues that
make up the moral formation and that are taught or reinforced in the medical school emerge.

Journal of Environmental Science and Research-A Dangerous and Endangered Species

Humans were formed when their brains changed. They gained technical skills and lost communication skills. The result was violence far in excess of all other creatures and damage has been inflicted on everything from our planet to us. At last, mass communication by technology may compensate for inherent inadequacy if we learn to manage ourselves.
