Over the past week I have reached some major milestones in my VHS journey. I have made some major upgrades in my conversion hardware! Which will only increase my quality output even further!

I now have a high-end, highly sought after S-VHS player, with a Timebase Corrector! This is equipment that is exceedingly hard to find in Australia. I am so lucky that I was able to piece together everything I needed. From over east. With the main new S-VHS player taking a month to reach me. After travelling from the Netherlands.

The next major milestone! I have just surpassed 500 Subscribers on my archive channel!!!! This has been a long time coming! And I am so grateful to have fostered a community of viewers. As interested in advertising as a medium as I am!

From here on out, everything will be ramping up. Video Upload, Conversion job availability. Everything! So look forward to it, and I will continue posting! Thanks!!!

Finally got around to making a price chart for all my clients! I'm looking pretty free the next few months. So if you've been considering digitizing some family tapes, now is definitely the time!

Another awesome find for the channel! A 1984 Pacman chip ad! I doubt a lot of people have ever even heard of these before, I sure hadn't.

I also rarely get tapes from the 80s, let alone 80s tapes in salvageable condition. So finding this as well as more content ( to be posted later this year, is fantastic!!

I'm still consistently posting a video or two a day on my YouTube channel. But today! I have uploaded 5. Because, I have found a number of long lost 1996 gaming ads. Featuring the likes of Crash Bandicoot, and Donkey Kong. I'm not sure if anyone was actively looking for these ads. But I think it's awesome that I appear to be the first person to have uncovered them :)

Stopping into Donnybrook a few weeks ago. On my way back from the Nannup Music Festival . I stumbled upon this in the Donnybrook Community Op Shop. A ( what I think ) is an early 90s promotional video made by Leederville's Videocraft PTY LTD. I thought it was such a nice coincidence that I found this, promoting an area i didn't know of. Only for it to be featured in multiple articles in the weeks following.

This is also the first video in which I am using some new software for my conversions. I Believe it will improve my quality for future transfers, as well as decrease my workload :)

Here's the final edit of the batch which I was generously given permission to share. I think this is the best edit of the batch. I had more to work with if I'm being honest ahah. But what a cool event this was! This is from an early 2000s Art installation blending together vibrant colours and lighting. With unique bubbling alien shapes. Spread across multiple rooms, this special space hosted groups of school kids. Who would come and play in the dwelling. They would also most likely be given some form of educational attachment to bring it all together. But I couldn't work out what that might have been from the video I saw.

Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some little edits I've made with a clients lovely footage!

This one takes place in the early 2000s, during a bonfire on the grounds of Spearwood Alternative. Teena, who the footage comes from, told me. "That part of the school grounds, the kids called Mount Woolfie. We used to have bonfires on special occasions - all the families would come along … was a really cool school."

Had a lovely client come by a few weeks ago with some footage from Ningaloo in 2002 I believe. Absolutely loved the look of the video, so I got to work and made this little edit with it. Using The Sweet Enoughs song "Mysterious River Snake". Couldn't be happier with how it came out! You know it's a good video when it gives you goosebumps watching it back.
