Vigils have been held across the region as the sun set last night, bringing people together to pay tribute for those missing in the Nepal/Tibet floods.
An event was held in Kempsey organised by Sabina Adhikari and captured here by Anika Malcolm and Mayor Kinne Ring.
Organisers and vice president of the Port Macquarie Nepalese Community group Pravin Gaire says last night's vigil was an opportunity for locals to come together for support and to share their grief.
"In our country if we want to celebrate, we celebrate together, if we want to share condolences, we all stand together with those people effected, this is how our culture is."
"Our heart is there even though we are here. We wanted to get everybody together and to let everybody know we are united and together."
