Great question!
Only weirdos love these lollies. There, I said it. These lollies are always last in a lolly bag, and you cannot change my mind.
Black Cats were for people who thought normal liquorice wasn’t weird enough. That powerful aniseed flavour hit your mouth like something prescribed by a chemist in 1937.
Chi**s, now called Cheekies, were chewy chocolate-flavoured people. Not actual chocolate, of course. More like someone described chocolate to a piece of rubber over the phone.
Chocolate in lolly form is just fu***ng weird.
Green Frogs delivered a confusing burst of lime flavour while making you feel like you were chewing something found beside a swamp.
Spearmint Leaves looked like they had been rolled in sugar to disguise the fact they tasted like edible toothpaste. Perfect if you wanted a lolly and fresh breath at the same time.
Then there were Teeth. Soft, foamy pink-and-white dentures with a strange strawberry-and-vanilla flavour. Nothing says “delicious treat” quite like eating a tiny set of gums, that ironically are bad for your actual teeth. Why do they taste so funky.
They were weird, slightly disturbing and somehow always hiding in every mixed lolly bag.
Which one are you defending?
👍 A. Black Cats
❤️ B. Ch*kos/Cheekies
🥰 C. Green Frogs
😆 D. Spearmint Leaves
😮 E. Teeth
