Moonlight Publications was established in 1989 to publish the Who's Who of Australian Rock. Since then the company has produced over 90 publications. These include discographies of Australian pop and rock artists, listings of musicians of bands (published by state), biographies by Paul McHenry, the chart books of Gavin Ryan and books about Australian record labels.

Moonlight's latest book is now available! An ideal stocking filler for people who are fans of Australian music and musicians. Words are Not Enough is the story of Garry Paige, a lyric writer. He explores his past, documenting his influences, and how he became a lyric writer, writing the words to Heading in the Right Direction (recorded by Renee Geyer among others ) and Words are Not Enough which was a hit for Jon English. Bill Casey assisted Garry get his thoughts and memories into print. The book can be purchased directly from the publisher, $10 plus $3 postage within Australia. Payment can be via PayPal, direct credit or personal cheque.

The latest book to arrive at Moonlight Publishing has arrived from the printers. It's the listing of the Phantom label, an independent record label based in Sydney. Back in 1999, Moonlight Publishing, released its first (and only) cd. (Well there was a cdrom, but it was The Who's Who of Australian Rock, and published by RMiT). This various artist compilation was first released in 1966, and was reported to be the rarest lp record of its type in Australia. Still plenty of copies left in the Moonlight warehouse, $22.00 plus $2 postage within Australia.

Currently in preparation, Moonlight's next book will be an overview of the listings of the Phantom label. The author, Dave Hulme, has already compiled two previous books about important indie labels from Sydney, The Red Eye label and the Waterfront label. Both are still available for sale. Brian Cadd is an Australian vocalist and pianist, who has achieved many accolades within the music industry. In 1995, Moonlight Publishing, published a book about Cadd's career, written by Paul McHenry. Now in 2020, McHenry has updated his original book, providing more information about Cadd's musical career since 1995. The 2nd revised edition, still sells for $5, plus $2 postage within Australia.
