What a way to spend a Wednesday afternoon! 🍻

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Beachside Bevvies at Coolum B**r Co last week. It was fantastic to see so many local business representitives, professionals and community members come together to connect, share stories and enjoy a few cold drinks by the coast.

Events like these remind us just how valuable our community can be, especially when it's paired with great company, great conversations and great local b**r.

Thanks to the team at Coolum B**r Co for hosting us, to Ted O'Brien for taking the time to attend and engage with our local business community and to everyone who came along and helped make the afternoon such a success.

After some time away, Coolum Business & Tourism is excited to bring back our Member Spotlight series!

Who better to relaunch it with than our friends at The Shop @ Coolum!

Established in 2004 as a small convenience store, The Shop @ Coolum has grown into a much-loved market-style general store, offering everything from local cheeses, sourdoughs to homewares, flowers, everyday essentials & great coffee.

They've survived cyclones, the GFC, COVID, economic challenges by staying connected to our Coolum community. The local trade is the reason they’ve survived & thrived, tourists are the icing on the cake.

Their community involvement includes kicking off Coolum’s outdoor movies in 2010, helping bring recycling bins & timed parking to the Esplanade, & launching the community book trolley that has raised over $10,000 for local groups. Not to mention sponsoring just about every sports team in Coolum.

More than 20 years on, they’re still proudly local & still thriving.
