Cronulla parkrun

Today’s morning sunshine drew 79 runners and walkers to our slightly muddy and wet Cronulla course. Some travelling across Sydney to run next to Australia’s best beach. Our first runner across the line was having his first run at Cronulla, which is an achievement in itself. The conditions can’t have been too ban because there were quite a few PBs (19 by my count). Here are some photos of the finisher, all of whom need to be warmly congratulated for making it onto the course in spite of the winter chill in the air.

The weather is looking good for tomorrow but there might be residual puddles and mud from the recent rain, so don’t wear your brand new white running shoes tomorrow.

🌊 Happy Saturday, Cronulla parkrun family! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Well done young Elise (JW 11/20) who celebrated the big 50 Parkruns with a PB to celebrate.

We had a fantastic turnout of 64 finishers and 12 amazing volunteers who made it all happen.

Our parkrun family continues to span all generations. Today, our field brought together an amazing spread of age groups, with an overall average age of 44.

We had our energetic young walkers and runners pushing hard.
Strong representation in our 30s, 40s, and 50s categories.
Our inspiring veteran legends including James and Peter leading the way in the 75-79 age bracket !
Whether you are 10 or 79, today proved that parkrun is for absolutely everyone.

🚀 Personal Bests: 5 of you smashed your goals to lock in a brand new PB today. Shout out to Simon, Taliyah, Elise, Peter, and Madeline.
