200 Issues of the Upper Lachlan Gazette. A celebration was held on Wednesday, 16th July, at the Crookwell Bowling Club. This event was an opportunity to thank our advertisers, contributors, committee, proofreader volunteers and staff, whom have been working with the Upper Lachlan Gazette from the beginning. Special guest The Honourable Michael McCormack was in attendance, congratulating the team on an amazing newspaper that is so beneficial to the community.

PARAMEDIC ASSAULTED, CROOKWELL

About 2.20am today (Thursday, 10th July 2025), emergency services were called to an ambulance station in Crookwell, following reports that a paramedic was assaulted.
Officers from The Hume Police District were told the paramedic saw an unknown man trying to enter his personal vehicle parked outside the station.
The paramedic approached the man, who assaulted him.
The man left the scene prior to police arrival.
The paramedic was not injured; however, he was taken to Goulburn Hospital for observation.
Police were unable to locate the man after conducting extensive patrols of the area.
Police have commenced an investigation and have released a description of a man who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
The man is described as being aged in his 30s, of solid build, about 180cm tall, and he was wearing a dark jacket with a hoodie underneath.
Police are appealing for assistance from community members to report suspicious activity and to check their security cameras in the area.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact The Hume Police District or Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is managed on a confidential basis. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
