🙌 Open to people aged 14–24 who live, work or study in the Toowoomba Region, this volunteer program helps you:

✔️ Create grassroots projects that make a real difference
✔️ Be the voice for 30,000+ young people in our region

These rising costs put real pressure on our community however,
this budget is about more than numbers -
it’s about strengthening our foundations and showing belief in our community.

🗑️ What is the bin tax?

The bin tax is a levy the State Government charges Council for every tonne of waste sent to landfill.

The higher the volume of landfill waste, the higher the cost - creating a significant shortfall Council must cover each year.

You will hear more about the impact of the Bin Tax by tuning in to the Budget meeting 9.30am.
