Have you ever seen a Capybara before? Do you know what a Capybara is?
I didn't until our first trip to Vietnam last year, and only this year did we get to see one in person. We went to the Kapi Cafe in Saigon.
These creatures are basically oversized Guinea Pigs, a close relative. They are so friendly and when you pat them and they are happy their coarse hair stands on end. They make a very cute noise, that's when our 10yo said it sounds just like a Velociraptor from Jurassic Park, and it did! 📸🐹🦖

I stayed up and made a sacrifice to the blood moon, as you do....my sleep time!💤
So many images and video to review...
Here is one of the last images I captured at 5:39am. Earth's shadow fading away as the sun was rising...

It has been 4 weeks since we returned and the Vietnam experience is still so vivid.
When we head back, Sapa is most certainly on our itinerary, and this time for longer than 3 days...🫶🇻🇳📸
I do like seeing the Water Buffalos at the end, casually wandering along the road.

I love Ho Chi Minh City and how good does Nguyen Hue walking street look at night...! 📸🇻🇳

There were so many highlights from our family trip to Vietnam, most were planned. This shoot was not, it was meant to be the night we went to Train Street in Hanoi. The storm put a stop to that, so I thought why not go and shoot the storm... 📸⛈🌩🇻🇳
The lightning was in the North, East and South of Hanoi, it just seemed to hang around, so different to Melbourne thunderstorms.

It was such a beautiful stay we had in Sapa. The location, the mountains (I am at 1600m above sea leave and the mountain I am focussed on is Fansipan), the people, town and food! We will be back... Fansipan is the tallest mountain peak in Indochina at nearly 3200m ASL and this was shot at 5:48am.
