Ok folks, here’s this little ditty for you lot in its entirety. I’ll be the first to admit that this tune is most definitely a massive departure from what I’d normally do(and yes, I was completely nervous & not at all confident about trying to sing a Sinatra tune…😬), but hey I like those so here we go.
This tune has for as long as I can remember been my old man’s favourite, and for years he’s been requesting I do a version of it with a big band ensemble(as opposed to my late night solo versions on the acoustic guitar whilst drunk & emotional…🤦♂️).
Anyways, the requests from him to do this had been forever consistent for many years and my obvious response was always “Dad I can’t afford to hire that many musicians, you pay for it”. This discussion dragged on & on until eventually I said to him on a whim last year “Hey why don’t we take a punt on the Demons winning the AFL grand final? And if we win we can put the winnings toward the video”, right before the end of the regular season. Now unlike the majority of my ill-fated attempts to win money on sporting events, this one actually got up.
So away we went with the clip! Now I must admit that trying to organise 12 musicians, camera crew and audio recording to get this done in literally one day without any rehearsals was rather challenging, and due to my complete illiteracy with reading music, I pretty much had to find whatever horn/string charts I could find online, and just live in hope that they’d be good enough to record with on the day. I must extend an extra big cheers to Silas Palmer & Jason Kenner for all their help on this, as this simply wouldn’t have come together without you guys helping me on it.
Here are all the credits for everyone that was involved in this, I honestly can’t thank all of you folks enough for everything you brought to the making of this, especially in such a short amount of time right before Xmas. ALL of you played/produced/filmed your hearts & souls out, and it was a damn fine pleasure to work with all of you doing something I honestly never dreamed I’d get to do in my career.

Ok you peeps, I’m very pleased to bring you all the second single from the upcoming album!
Now as you probably may have guessed already, this little ditty is pretty much all about that never-ending belief that having more money will help solve your financial problems, but in reality that can only just end up making them worse. Well that’s been my experience anyway...🤷♂️
Mixing blues with hip-hop has been something I’ve wanted to explore more deeply for a long time now, so that was something I really attempted to have a crack at with this one.
