Join us for a Pitch Party where you get the unique experience to spend time with a publisher, ask questions, get the low down on the perfect pitch and then pitch your story!

You’ll have five minutes to pitch and five minutes to receive feedback from publishers James Layton and Dani Vee.

The Pitch Party includes some or all of the following:

⭐️ Ideas to ensure your story is on brand

If we love your story, we’ll ask for the manuscript! We’ve already signed authors from both the School of Larrikins and pitches at conferences.

The publishing industry is competitive, and it’s no secret that in recent years, less kids are reading (although in happier news book buying is up by 3% this year). In order to compete in a tough market, knowledge about the industry, as well as honing your craft is so important! 💛

We offer a number of opportunities for new and aspiring authors to learn about publishing, develop a commercial manuscript and we provide honest and helpful feedback so you can improve your writing.
