It’s hard to believe it has been a year already (I still call it my ‘new’ album 😅)

No plugin will help you record a great source. You need a great source first. A great mic. And the right pre. Correct gain structure and finally once you have all that you NEED to place the mic in the correct position.
Nail those things… and you will always achieve great results!
S**t in gets s**t out. You can’t keep polishing turds but you can roll them in plug-in glitter.

Another single from the album that’s been gathering quite the traction interstate and internationally! 👌👍❤️

Happy Release Day to ‘Where This Heart’s Been’ - the closing track on my album ‘Moonflower’ is getting its time to shine, releasing as a single to radio today ✨❤️‍🔥🌵

I wrote this song to the theme ‘cactus’ as part of I Heart Songwriting Club and it’s dedicated to all the strong & resilient women out there 💪

This one is lots of fun to play live and features my band plus special guest Gleny Rae on strings 🤠

Gleny’s eerie & electric fiddle was the final added touch & it totally transformed the song - that ending gives me goosebumps every time! 🎻

Choir of man’s first release that I was honoured to engineer the session for, inside of Gulwa community studio at the library of City of Palmerston!

Some clever mix placements and 20 + headphone sends and some big ol sweaty men coughing up their lungs in sync!

Ben Allen on production/mix (modest genius) & me on the pro fools for the recording.

Hello!
Some of you may or may not know…I am on an extended break in Europe currently. This doesn’t mean I’m not working on projects I’m still working on certain projects when I have downtime. I appreciate all of my clients who have the patience to see the end goal and get exactly what they paid for when their projects get released.
I care about quality over quantity. Sure I can smash out a mix in 4 hours, but will it be my best work…hmm maybe, maybe not.
I prefer to take my time and address all of the problems and issues and nail it everytime.
Picture below is my little remote rig (yes that’s a 2012MBP and it still rocks)

Anyway… my greatest mix with always be my new family. I am a lucky human!
