Pure Joy! 🤩🎣 Oysters for brekky and Barra fishing! For those who know, there's nothing quite like the thrill of a Barramundi fight, is there?! That bend in the rod, the powerful runs and the way they jump in the hope of spitting out that lure – it just fills me with pure excitement! haha! And then, first thing in the morning, breaking my fast with fresh-shucked oysters right off the rocks... absolute paradise for me. All in the Kimberley, Western Australia ✨

These moments are what we live for out here in the remote Kimberley. But getting to experience them isn't always glamorous (in fact it's the opposite, haha!) and it certainly takes some practical know-how!

And for fellow oyster lovers, here's a little secret from the field: forget fancy shucking knives. We started another incredible journey today, travelling 150 km offshore to anchor beside a stunning sand cay. Ricky's remarkable catch, a queenfish, put up an awesome fight, and we savour the delight of fresh seafood amongst the hundreds we could have hooked today. Ricky fried the fish in garlic and olive oil whilst a beautiful clam shell that i discovered on the sand cay serves our mayo and sweet chilli sauce dip! Today couldn’t be any better!! Sunsets are just the best, aren't they? 🧡 Just WOW. Isn't it incredible how this one universal thing can bring so much peace and beauty into our day, every single day?

Got to enjoy it even more with our awesome new Minn Kota Terrova working its magic, holding us steady over beautiful reefs while other boats passed by. This mean machine is a game-changer for exploring! Wire My Boat installed ours in our 9.5m boat!
