As we mark 20 years, we're looking back at some of the events we’ve delivered along the way.

In October 2019, Agentur had the privilege of delivering the Uluru Climb Closure Celebration.

The challenge was considerable. Managing large crowds, media attention, and multiple stakeholders at a remote location. All while ensuring cultural protocols were upheld and the focus remained on Anangu voices and traditions.

Our solution was collaboration, working closely with Traditional Owners, Parks Australia, and community representatives. We managed permits, logistics, and on-site infrastructure, while ensuring performances, ceremonies, and storytelling were led by Anangu, with Agentur facilitating respectful engagement and seamless operations.

The event attracted national and international attention and was recognised with a Major Event or Festival of the Year award, setting a benchmark for how culturally significant milestones can be commemorated with care, creativity, and control.

It was not our first time managing an event at Uluru. Agentur delivered the 30th Anniversary Handback Celebrations in 2015 and returned for the 40th Anniversary in 2025.

Agentur’s very first event? A conference: the 2006 Aboriginal Economic Development Forum.

Twenty years later, conferences are still a big part of what we do. From here in the Territory to Canberra’s Parliament House, our team has managed conferences and corporate events across the country.

What we love most is creating the moments attendees won’t forget: the Welcome to Country and cultural performances we develop closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and the networking functions that combine entertainment and connection.

Behind the scenes, we make sure everything runs smoothly. Our clients get to sit back and enjoy the event like any other guest.

Today, 3 June, is Mabo Day and marks the end of National Reconciliation Week here in Australia.

Mabo Day commemorates Mer Island man Eddie Koiki Mabo and his fight to overturn the legal fiction of terra nullius, and legally recognise Native Title. National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June each year, beginning on the anniversary of the historic 1967 Referendum where over 90% of Australians voted to include Indigenous Australians in the census.

One of our core values at Agentur is Respect in Action. We honour Country, culture, people, and place through meaningful engagement, informed decision-making, and ethical delivery - not symbolism.

We are proud to have worked alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities closely over the past twenty years, to learn about their history and culture, and share it with others through the events and moments we have created together. That work continues.

Before Agentur existed, co-founder Britta Decker toured with the legendary Aboriginal band Yothu Yindi, and helped to build the Garma Festival of Traditional Culture and the National Indigenous Music Awards.

Britta’s love of culture, people and live events is what Agentur is built on.

We've just wrapped two days managing Taste of Kakadu 2026 on Mirarr Country at the Bowali Visitor Centre, Jabiru.

This year's event featured an arts and crafts market, live workshops with local artists, reptile encounters, cooking demonstrations with OzHarvest Shop, live music from Shellie Morris Music and a stunning four-course Kinh Kinh Dinner under the stars.

Working closely with Parks Australia and a range of local vendors, we created a program designed to celebrate the food, culture, stories, and creativity of Kakadu.

Our team was on site throughout both days to ensure everything ran smoothly. It was a privilege to manage this event for the sixth time!

Thanks also to Kakadu National Park, Kakadu Kitchen and Lightning Arts n Artifacts

This week, Agentur delivered the 22nd International Symposium on Fish Nutrient and Feeding in Darwin. Over four days, we coordinated on-stage programming, a Saltwater Welcome to Country, and networking opportunities for attendees.

Wednesday night’s gala dinner was a highlight. Themed around bespoke aboriginal artwork, we worked closely with Laundry Gallery and artist Elah Yunupingu (E+B Arts & Crafts) to bring the theme to life.

We're proud to share that Agentur has joined the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network! 🌻
We recently completed training so our team is better equipped to recognise and support people wearing the Sunflower — a simple but powerful symbol that someone may have a hidden disability and could use a little extra help, understanding, or time.
Did you know that globally, 1 in 6 people live with a disability? Many of these conditions aren't visible — from neurological and cognitive differences to chronic health conditions and sensory difficulties. The Sunflower helps make the invisible visible.
We're committed to creating a more inclusive environment for our events & conferences.
