That's a wrap! 🎥 Our final day of shooting started at Darwin Airport, where we came across Helmut, an awesome dude who told me he's been riding the same route every morning for 24 years. When he cruised past shirtless we asked him to do a few more laps so we could capture the moment. 🚲 Thanks bro! 👌🏾Then we put our lead girl the very talented Ciella Williams in a taxi driven by a popular local cabbie known as God who went above and beyond for us; upon hearing our director Emma Masters say she wasn't too happy with the dead cane toad we'd found for a prop - QUOTE "it needs to be fresh roadkill. This guy is old and crackly" - God lived up to his name and found a recently flattened cane toad in no time.* THANKS BE TO GOD! 🙌🏾🚕
* a reminder that cane toads are an insidious pest that are ruining our northern ecosystems, so it's totally fine to talk casually about them dying.
An hour after we wrapped, the storm clouds rolled in over beautiful East Point and it bucketed down. 🌧The gods waited until we finished filming; surely a sign from the heavens that they want us to succeed right? 🤔A huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen, from running around fetching cold water (thanks Bella!) to seeking out and donating wardrobe items (thanks ) and doing a whole heap of heavy lifting (thanks Hamish Harty)! 💪🏾
