This isn’t a dreamy holiday post or a picture-perfect lifestyle photo.
This is real mum life.

Just got out of the shower, no makeup, messy hair, and feeling like absolute s**t.
We’ve had a sick week.
Hardly any sleep.
We’ve been camped out in the lounge room on our ‘movie night’ mattress for a few days now, trying to avoid my husband getting sick and so he can actually get some rest.

I thought about putting a bit of effort in before taking this photo, at least doing my hair, but this is the reality.
Sick kids. Messy house. Exhausted mum who also feels like s**t.

And you know what hit me today?
I didn’t have to call in sick.
Because
 I don’t have a job.
Not a normal one anyway.

So very lucky to have something that runs in the background while I do what matters most, be here, fully present, when my kids need me. đŸ™đŸ»

Messy, chaotic, and real.
And I wouldn’t change it for a second. đŸ«¶đŸ»

Do the hard now for the easy later.

This is my hard, sitting in front of a computer screen and I HATE being inside! But it’s been way too hot to sit outside and work the last couple of weeks.
“Physically” working though is a whole lot easier than sitting around in the heat.đŸ€Ł

Let’s be real though
most people do this daily and find it easy.
And truthfully, I’m slowly coming around to it too and it actually feels easy.
Because now I can see how powerful and beneficial it really is.

Still, I remind myself of this every single time I feel like giving up, slacking off, or choosing the path of least resistance.

Because yes, it would be easier to keep doing what’s familiar.
Yes, it would be easier to stay stuck in old routines.

But easy now often means hard later.

And I’m not doing this just for now,
I’m doing this for my family’s future.

For freedom.
Options.
More fun holidays.
And a life that doesn’t revolve around bills or burnout.

So if you’re in your own “hard” season too, keep going.
You’re building something bigger than today.
It will be worth it đŸ«¶đŸ»
