Surf Clip of the Year 2025 - 🏆

It’s a pretty unreal feeling to be recognised with an award for something you genuinely love doing.

Thank you to everyone who voted for me. Five years ago I picked up a drone with zero idea about surfing, filming or even how to fly the thing. Chasing waves and shooting these moments is when I’m at my happiest, and none of it would’ve happened without a lot of people backing me.

From the introduction to drones and video camera know-how to being encouraged creatively, learning how to read the ocean and forecasts, getting invited along on strike missions, the technical help and support from a drone retailer, and all the surf crews around Australia especially the northern beaches and the locals at my home break in Dee Why… thank you. I wouldn’t have captured this wave, or any of the others, without that support.

And a big thanks to Surfing Australia for the award, the backing and for putting on such a great night.
