When you start showing up differently, your experiences will start being different too.
I realised that I was doing so much that I simply didn’t have energy for. As a Projector in Human Design, unlike 70% of the population, I don’t have consistently generated energy. But I was told my whole life that if I wanted to be successful I had to work hard, work a lot and push to make my dreams happen, then I would get what I wanted.
But that hasn’t been my experience. Anything that was truly meant for me, that I was aligned with, happened naturally and easily wish out me having to push for it. I simply followed my awareness, did the fun or weird thing it said to do and bam, it grew into exactly what I’d been asking for.
I remember wanting a second job, so I said to the universe and my Spirit Team- I trust you, I’m going out to find another job today, show me where it is. I walked to Salamanca in Hobart from Sandy Bay, resumes in hand. Talking to the universe and my Spirit Team in my head along the way, they directed me to walk to a part of Salamanca I didn’t know very well. Everything seemed closed and it looked like nothing was even there, just a bunch of buildings I wasn’t familiar with.
I remember thinking- there’s nothing here where are you taking me? All I heard was, keep going. I walked some more, to nearly the end of Salamanca. I was just about to give up and turn around when I heard- go in there. They were directing me to a building that seemed to be a closed pub. I said, are you sure? It looks closed. And again I heard- go in there.
I went in, spoke to the first person I saw which happened to be the general manager and I had a job there that night. I’d also been asking for regular singing gigs and to be a successful musician. Guess where I started gigging? On that stage, in that pub and everything took off from there and I’ve had some pretty amazing experiences from that first random performance.
When you follow what is aligned, when you follow your awareness no matter how strange it may be, you get what you desire. Keep going.
