This week's Bulletin is now online at http://www.denmarkbulletin.com.au/current-edition/
Due to a production error (aka a giant stuff up) the story about a local artist winning a national prize was omitted from this week's print edition.
The story is in the online edition and will be included in the next print run.

Serving Denmark for 40 years

The Denmark Bulletin was founded by Peggy Weaver as a newsletter for the Denmark crafts group 40 years ago.

Prominent local citizen Eileen Lunan saw the need for Denmark to have its own newspaper serving the whole community.

With strong community input and support Eileen built the newsletter into a solid business that caught the eye of the management at WA Newspapers, publishers of the Albany Advertiser group. Overtures were made to sole proprietor, but when Eileen refused to sell the media giant decided to start its own Denmark newspaper which was launched in 2001 by Albany Advertiser managing editor Andrew Gill and deputy editor Patricia Gill.

Local advertisers and readers were unimpressed by the flashy new paper and remained loyal to the Bulletin.
