We’re proud to share that our very own Star Avenue Studios played a key role in , premiering at the !

The documentary follows filmmaker @anthonysjfrith as he takes on a wild ride with @ (the team behind Sharknado), directing The Land That Time Forgot right here in South Australia. Parts of the feature film were shot in our spaces, and the studio itself features in the documentary.

It’s not every day you see the hustle and creativity of indie filmmaking captured so honestly, and it's even rarer to see our walls, sets, and spaces up there on the big screen.

This was a fun music video shot here in Studio A! worked his magic with an amazing titling rig and hung the artist from the roof of the studio to create the floating angel effect.

This is the main reason we set up Star Avenue Studios to give emerging and mid-career South Australian filmmakers and crew the opportunity to shoot in a professional studio environment.

The music video sections for season 3 of Couch 44 were filmed across eight incredible sets, all built by the production design team and led by the amazing Madison Siegertsz!

We can’t wait to watch the series when it premieres on the 25th of August, airing on Channel 44 & C31 Melbourne and Geelong.

It was fantastic to host the feature film "Dropbear," produced by Six Foot Four Productions and ITN Distribution!

They utilised all of our studio facilities, setting up the costume department, art department, and production office on the upper floor, while using Studio A for two large sets.

Last year, we took on the exciting challenge of building a custom petrol station interior for the short film Dragging the Chain@dtc_film in just two and a half days.

Using a combination of pre-made and custom panels (including doors and windows), our crew quickly transformed Studio B into a convincing petrol station set. Once the structure was in place, the production design team worked their magic to bring every detail to life. It’s always remarkable to see a production this ambitious come together in a controlled studio environment.

Huge congratulations to writer/director Virginia Blackwell , producer Maddie Siegertsz , cinematographer Riley Scott , and everyone involved. We’re thrilled to have played a part in this journey and can’t wait to see what’s next for Dragging the Chain!
