Yesterday we met Janet, an Elder from the Gibb River area, particularly El Questro.
She was full of knowledge and so lovely.
She invited us to contact her when we next travelled through and she would take us on a personal tour of her homeland.

What a treat that will be!

Having done parts of the Gibb in 2015 and then spending 2 weeks exploring the Kimberley in 2021, we are doing it in style with these guys on their first tour of the season.

If you don't have the vehicle to do it yourself, I highly recommend giving Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours a call!

📌 Gantheaume Point 🦕 footprints

This morning we jumped out of bed early to catch the low tide at sunrise to explore Gantheaume Point and to find the dinosaur footprints on the rocks. They are only visible at a very low tide.

We found them! And then we found them again to show some other tourists, and a '9 year long local' 😂, where they were.

These dinosaurs were here around 130 million years ago. Pretty incredible.

We arrived yesterday and what a welcome by Karl and Simone. Thank you so much!

Drinks and nibbles at Gantheaume Point followed up by some of Simone's exquisite cooking of Satay chicken and salad.
