A reminder that we are always looking to name more people in this group photo. Edenhope Tourism are going to help by keeping the picture at the Information Centre for ID. I found if you have access to a large screen it is easier than looking at the photo in real life. Last time (2017 request) a lot of people circled themselves in the image, and that was really helpful. Thanks.

COMMUNITY HISTORY: West Wimmera Advocate is seeking assistance from the public to name all the people in this historic Lake Wallace Photo. If you know you were there, please pop in and show us where you were standing, or crop the photo and circle yourself and send in if you aren't living locally anymore. If you can ID anyone else that would be great, in particular children as this was taken 14 years ago, and they have changed lots since then. Poster is on display in the shop window. Photos are available on order at various sizes. Thanks to Ken Frost of Poolaijelo for sharing his negatives. (Franco took photos too but the good old camera wasnt the best for picking the faces).

8.5.23 HENLEY PAVERS: IT IS NOT TOO LATE
The Henley committee have decided to keep the paver fundraiser open a bit longer, as forms are still coming in and we have a big space to fill at Henley Park.

Don't forget to drop your form and money to West Currie Consultants or to Henley on Lake Wallace PO Box 81 EDENHOPE VIC 3318.

They can be posted out (please send a -DM) but please be patient also not usual price as they require a larger envelope.

PS No it is not a case of feet up just yet, still plenty of bookwork to do (after 9 years I am no better at that than year 1). Hoping soon to spend more time participating then recording our wonderful community life. Step 1 school swimming at Balmoral tomorrow.

100 YEARS OF HENLEY: Well after a lot of hard work by hundreds of volunteers, we can look back on a spectacular birthday celebration in this weeks final edition.

A sneak peak of photos (and photos of photos), with a bumper LAST EDITION by current editor Toni this week.

While the paper hasn't sold, we have hope it will be back. First in best drrssed, with finance at a bargain price.

Please get your stories and ads in early and let's see if we can get 20 pages in the last edition.

Henley on Lake Wallace committee need a hand. They are looking for past winners of the Australian Women's Rolling Pin (THROWING) Championships that as yet they don't have contact details for.
If you are, or know of, one of the women below please send a DM to the Advocate. If you know the person has passed away, they are still looking for contact details of descendants to send a letter to. It is something good coming, a surprise until Wednesday. Please note, these could be maiden names that have since changed.

31.10.22 LAKE WALLACE AFTER ANOTHER STORM
This may well be the biggest run of the year. Over 15mm in Edenhope in a massive downpour last night (Friday about 9pm). The ground was already saturated.
The lake has risen 30cm up since Monday 9am and about 12 metres out. This is between 1.5 and 2 inches a day (up).

Estimated depth in the middle is now 3 metres.
