This block on McLeod Street will also provide much-needed housing in Cairns. The land has been cleared, and the council has granted development approval. The social housing will be managed by Mission Australia. While the units are a couple of storeys higher than I would have liked, the positive aspect is the inclusion of an on-site manager—an initiative I believe is fantastic.
