I love noticing the little things in everyday life. Some are easy to see, and some are more hidden, but they all have something special if you take the time to notice. For me, photography isn’t about getting the perfect shot anymore. It used to be but lately I just enjoy the creative process and looking at the world in a Michelle kind of way. Location: Auckland, New Zealand

This black and white photos was taken in Auckland, New Zealand. It shows a real moment where a man is feeding birds. The birds fly close and land around him, trusting him completely. I love how the magpie keeps his distance waiting patiently to be fed too

The photo is simple but powerful! It shows kindness, peace, and a quiet connection between a human and nature. Without colour, you can really see the shapes, movement, and feeling in the moment. It’s a small act, but it says a lot.

My only regret is that I didn’t take more time to frame the shot better or find courage to ask if I could take a proper portrait. Even so, this candid moment tells a story all on its own and I still love it.

"Between Journeys"

I didn’t plan to take photos today but walking past the pub, this scene made me stop.

Was it the bicycle resting against the old wooden railing that gave me a sense of stillness and everyday life? Or was it the faceless man’s reflection in the window?

To me, it feels like a hidden story within the image. It made me wonder—was he inside, looking out at me passing by? Or is he just an unseen observer?
