Wanna see something cool?

Well, here you have it — this is a 5ct green Australian sapphire I managed to get hold of about a year ago in the rough (approximately 20ct). I cut this into an octagon mix cut, and still to this day, it’s the most saturated,reflective and best light-performing green sapphire I’ve ever owned.
It was decided by our client to be set into an 18k white gold ring, beautifully flanked by some natural kite-shaped diamonds.

💎 Feeling spoilt here in the Australian sapphire gemfields!

It’s often assumed we only find dark blue sapphires — and while that’s mostly true (about 95% of what comes out of the ground is in fact blue) — every so often, nature surprises us✨

Rarely, we uncover sapphires in a full spectrum of blue, These beauties in the video are some of the stones I’ve cut over the past month — all different types of blues and teals!

3.7ct Green oval Australian Sapphire - heated - Cut into a standard oval, I remember when I first started faceting, and ovals where such a huge challenge, they would usually take me all day sometimes even 2 days to complete, now they are a peice of cake! but still out of all the cuts probably take the longest. Measurements 12.8mm x 8mm x 5mm
