Last month Dreamscreen was transformed into a stunning event space for .auto.australia 🚙

The event showcased the incredible technology behind the all-new Geely Starray EM-i where a was awarded for the lowest fuel consumption on the Sydney-Melbourne coastal route by a plug-in hybrid SUV.

Captivate Action Ltd.'s FILM FIGHTING WEEKENDER WORKSHOP at Dreamscreen

A unique experience of Film Fighting for Actors over a full weekend, culminating in a filmed fight scene. Taught by one of Australia’s most respected Fight Directors, Lyndall Grant, at Melbourne’s exciting Virtual Production Studio, Dreamscreen Australia.

What Is It?
This is an exciting training event designed for actors: empowering you with the tools to perform fights for screen safely, effectively and with dramatic impact… while spending a weekend with exhilarating action and performance.

On a wet and wintry evening, creative practitioners from a range of disciplines braved the Melbourne cold to visit Dreamscreen’s studios and get a glimpse of the latest trends in content production.

Guests were treated to live demonstrations and behind-the-scenes insights into how Dreamscreen uses LED volume technology to bring cinematic environments to life in real time. From camera tracking to lighting control, the evening sparked vibrant discussion around the future of virtual production workflows.

The event was produced in partnership with the Visual Effects Society (VES) Australia and brought together professionals from across the screen industry to experience the power and possibilities of LED volume and in-camera VFX (ICVFX) production firsthand.

Following the live demonstration the attendees were treated to panel discussion with some of the leading experts in Virtual Production in Australia. Up for discussion where where Virtual Production can best be deployed, where the line falls between technology and creative outcomes & what the future holds for creative industries.
