An estimated 250 Million farmers are still protesting in India because their government has passed 3 agricultural Bills that the farmers never asked for.

These bills leave farmers vulnerable to the private sector meaning they will eventually be crippled at sale point. This is the forced privatisation of their agricultural industry.

Today is and to those who need environmental inspiration we wish to tell you the story of our uncle Clifford Salaun and what makes him one of our most respected mentors.

Decades ago Cliff bought a dry barron acres rolling block of land in Ettric NSW. Over the years he built a home and dug and shaped 2 tiny dams into a 1km by 500 m wetland shape.

He pumped boar water, he bought thousands of baby fish, he planted trees, reeds battled lantana and blackberries and before he knew it rain clouds were attracted to his local area.

His cultivation changed the very nature of his total environment !!!!!!! -meaning that more rain came regularly and soon so did migrating birds from all over the world. This also benefitted the properties around his and attracted the attention of Landcare Aus.

We learnt from Cliff that water attracts water. An extremely valuable environmental lesson.

Now Cliff didn’t do this for his own personal gain, he didn’t sell fish or couldn’t even at times see the wetlands he’d created because the reeds are so high at times you have to stand on a 4wd roof to see the water. Point is this man is our hero as he has the hands that changed drought stricken nature.

He’s also personally a dead set hero!

Uncle you are Goodworthy

What to do with your awkward feelings around Invasion Day.

At some stage we all have to deal with the invites to celebrate on Jan 26th. While it’s nice to gather with friends and family, it’s more important to acknowledge what the day really means.

Look out for our next video with suggestions of what you can do around this topic.

Do you have any ideas? Post them in the comments.

We adore Small Giants Academy. We want to cheer along and participate in the important discussions and actions they are sharing. Quite frankly steps in any other direction are not putting people and planet first. We all need to run towards the changes needed to rescue the damages sustained by the current economic paradigm.

Through these conversations we ask.... What is the next economy?

The Next Economy is all about putting human wellbeing and environmental regeneration at the very core of our economic philosophy. Only from this starting point can we explore the role of individuals, markets and governance.

You can be part of the conversation with and check out their Mastery of Business & Empathy via the link in our bio.

Here we see ideals & ethics are being successfully measured & realised in business & finance.

This kind of ethical behaviour is something that historically big banks have signal'd but never committed to achieving.

Have you thought about the ethical, environmental & social impact of your business?

Goodworthy banks with Bank Australia because we know they ethically invest our money locally, in renewable energy and social impact projects.

This is the type of behaviour we need to see from individuals, large and small corporations.

1800RESPECT ✅ Family violence IS a mental health issue.
Here at Goodworthy we are encouraging everyone to Speak Up around Mental health issues. This video offers up a realistic pathway in what sometimes can seem an impossible situation and cycle of abuse.
In Victoria, most women who have experienced intimate partner violence don’t seek advice or support because they’re ashamed or afraid of the consequences.

So it’s everyone's responsibility to and report family violence.

We all have a part to play in this, take responsibility and take action.
