Violeta J Brosig ventured into the underwater world of photography when she moved from Brazil to Australia, 14 years ago. Self-taught, “Vee” how she is called by friends began work as a videographer in the whaleshark tourism industry; capturing the interaction of tourists and the local gentle giants in their natural environment.
Spending many seasons out on the reef, Violeta’s interest in the underwater world unraveled into a passion that has been the driving force behind capturing the marine life of Ningaloo and Cape range in a creative light. Violeta and her camera became ‘regulars’ to the historical Navy pier dive, situated on the tip of the Exmouth peninsula. Using her photography as a visual voice, Vee’s work has showcased the curious characters of resident grey nurse sharks, schooling trevally, and gregarious groupers.
With the intention of connecting people to the ocean and the area, BlueMedia has since spent years photographing ecotours, dive trips, endemic fauna and flora, government projects and community events. Much of her work has been displayed in National Geographic , dive magazines , visitor center’s, local cafes, resorts and public places.
Now an Award Winning, Canon/AIPP certified photographer, Blue Media Exmouth leads the way in coastal, landscape and underwater photography on the WA coastline.
Violeta heads Blue Media Exmouth as an established local business on the doorstep of the Ningaloo Reef. I have been working on the Ningaloo Reef , Western Australia for 9 years and know the behaviour of marine mammas making it easy to get videos. I never done anything with a drone and no one is doing here so it will be a great exposure and different angles .
Im on the whale shark boats everyday where we see so much marine life. There an aggregation of dugongs at the moments that would be fantastic from the air , its really rare and we usually only see 1 at the time but right now we counted 26! Its the best time of the year and the content would be fantastic. Please support me on this adventure , Im sure it will be beneficial to all of us and expose the ningaloo reef to the rest of the world..
