Tucked away just off the main road in Hawthorne, Haiiro Izakaya is a hidden gem that truly impressed us 🍶✨

From the very first bite of their garlic edamame to the perfectly cooked Wagyu steak, every dish was full of flavour and finesse. The sesame-crusted tuna tataki and nasu dengaku were definite standouts — beautifully balanced and plated with care.

We were kindly invited to dine here, and it was such a pleasure to experience their modern take on Japanese dining. If you’re after a cozy, elevated izakaya experience, this is the spot to try. 💫

Legit one of the BEST grilled Salmon we’ve had 👌. It’s been a minute since our last visit to Spice Central, and it did not disappoint. Everything from start to finish was delicious 👏. Take this as a sign to revisit and check out their new menu! We highly recommend the Serrano & Stracciatella Salad and of course the Grilled Atlantic Salmon

𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗞𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗!!! Kicking off the new year with a noteworthy new restaurant, this place serves up some authentic Mandu 🥟. Everything was so good, but if we had to pick one, our favourite dish was the Clear Beef Hand-Torn Noodles. FYI their menu is currently 10% off for their opening, so even more reason to visit! Thank you for the recommendation 💛

𝙃𝙄𝘿𝘿𝙀𝙉 𝙂𝙀𝙈: 𝙆𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩. This hole-in-the wall restaurant is located at the narrow pathway, next to the carpark, past Hakataya Ramen. Despite the limited space with only 8 seating, the food here is worth the visit. The Clear Spicy Seafood Soup was rich and super smokey. The Beef Ribs was so flavoursome and tender. Every main we’ve tried so far had been delicious. Plus you know it’s good when our picky friend recommended it 😜

This was a long time coming, every time we wanted to eat here the queue was crazy! Surprisingly even though they were busy, it didn’t take too long for food to come out. 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁: Every dish was delicious. The only complaint would be the root vege in the Kari Sayur was a tad undercooked but overall still very tasty! Service was great, the staff were attentive. Definitely a great choice in the Brisbane CBD, will definitely be back 😍

Guess who’s back! Sorry for being MIA, so much has changed in our lives 😁. For starters Forkup has grown from 2 to 3, welcoming back our sister from Melbourne 🥳. Expect lots of catch up posts, stories and holiday snaps from our VN trip last year and Korea earlier this year 🙈

To kick off our hiatus, we checked out the new Dosa Hut franchise location at Stafford. We did not expect the Dosa to be so big 😂. Highlights were the Dosa and Biriyani; everything was flavoursome and we were so full. Thank you Dosa Hut for the invitation ❤️
