Santa popped in to the Kingborough Little Athletics Centre over the weekend, and in just a few short days he'll be doing the rounds all over Kingborough!

Congratulations to our resident Elaine and her husband Rex, who recently celebrated 63 years of marriage! πŸ€΅πŸ‘°β€β™€οΈπŸ’’

Rex worked with Kylie from our Leisure & Lifestyle team to surprise Elaine with an anniversary celebration at our cafe last month πŸ₯° The lovebirds met at the Belvedere Ballroom in 1961, have four boys, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, and say always being honest is the secret to their long marriage.

Happy December 1, everyone! πŸŽ„ Kingborough Helping Hands has gotten into the giving spirit with Edna's Annual Christmas Fundraiser and the opening of their annual Sharing Tree. You can donate gifts and vouchers to the Sharing Tree, located outside the Woolies in Channel Court Shopping Centre, until December 21. Curious how Edna's Christmas lunch went? Congratulations to Julie Dunbabin and Rosalind (Ros) Cardinal, two local ladies who have cleaned up awards recently! Julie, who hails from Taroona, was named Senior Australian of the Year for Tasmania for pioneering the School Lunch Program through School Food Matters, delivering thousands of nutritious school lunches to schoolkids on a weekly basis. Ros, from Kingston and founder of the consulting practice Shaping Change, was named the winner in the Professional Services category of the Australian Women's Small Business Champion Awards.
