22 mums and kids explored Magical Farm Tasmania in Allens Rivulet where they identified the surrounding wildlife and transformed their observations into art in the Tarkind Project, part of the Great Southern BioBlitz. What's the Great Southern BioBlitz, you ask? You'll have to read this week's Kingborough Chronicle to find out!

Thanks to Magical Farm Tasmania director Dr Emily Samuels-Ballantyne for sharing all the details about Tarkind with us.

Kingston local Andrew Herweynen will be taking on the Point to Pinnacle with the support of a team of more than 50 members including family, friends, paramedics, nurses and doctors. Why? Andrew was diagnosed with a glioblastoma (a terminal brain cancer) back in 2023 and wants to raise funds and awareness about brain cancer, which is critically underfunded despite being the deadliest cancer for children and people aged under 40. Find out more in this week's issue of the Kingborough Chronicle.

Thank you, Averill, for chatting with our editor! Dear readers, if you feel like getting your hands sandy there's still time to join Averill's workshops at bruny NORTH.

Our Bruny Island Workshops next weekend are part coastal wandering/field trip/beachcombing inspiration and part time in the gallery making art. I am excited to share this rich experience on beautiful Bruny! Still some places left in each workshop if you fancy joining us (no experience necessary). Thanks Kingborough Chronicle for the lovely article πŸ’™πŸŒŠπŸŽ¨!
