Santa popped in to the Kingborough Little Athletics Centre over the weekend, and in just a few short days he'll be doing the rounds all over Kingborough!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and have a fantastic holiday from the Kingborough Chronicle team 🎄🎁. Our last issue of the year goes out tomorrow and we'll be back to work from January 7 onwards, with our first issue of 2026 out January 13. Selena is also the lead massage therapist for the Tasmania JackJumpers and established Restore Remedial & Relaxation Therapies in Taroona in 2001. The Kingborough Chronicle editor chatted to Selena to discuss her presidency and the story behind how she fell in love with massage therapy.

A huge congratulations to the team of volunteers and staff members who made Kingston Neighbourhood House's 40th anniversary fair such a big hit, with more than 400 attendees!!

Congratulations to our resident Elaine and her husband Rex, who recently celebrated 63 years of marriage! 🤵👰‍♀️💒

Rex worked with Kylie from our Leisure & Lifestyle team to surprise Elaine with an anniversary celebration at our cafe last month 🥰 The lovebirds met at the Belvedere Ballroom in 1961, have four boys, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, and say always being honest is the secret to their long marriage.

Happy December 1, everyone! 🎄 Kingborough Helping Hands has gotten into the giving spirit with Edna's Annual Christmas Fundraiser and the opening of their annual Sharing Tree. You can donate gifts and vouchers to the Sharing Tree, located outside the Woolies in Channel Court Shopping Centre, until December 21. Curious how Edna's Christmas lunch went? Congratulations to Julie Dunbabin and Rosalind (Ros) Cardinal, two local ladies who have cleaned up awards recently! Julie, who hails from Taroona, was named Senior Australian of the Year for Tasmania for pioneering the School Lunch Program through School Food Matters, delivering thousands of nutritious school lunches to schoolkids on a weekly basis. Ros, from Kingston and founder of the consulting practice Shaping Change, was named the winner in the Professional Services category of the Australian Women's Small Business Champion Awards.
