Putting out a call for you all to send in pictures of your gorgeous pets and NOT having them all be dogs and cats.
We've had a chicken and a rabbit - can we get a sheep?
Or a goat? A ferret? A GUINEA PIG?
The $50 meat voucher you might win doesn't have to be for your pet - it can be for you! A Sunday roast perhaps? 🤔

How to participate:
1. Send a high-quality photo of your pet to [email protected] or text to 0490 717 873

2. Include the following: Pet’s name, type/breed, age/gender, owner’s name, location, and any special talents, favourite activities or stories you would like to share.

All entries and the winner will be published in the first edition of the month and the voucher can be collected from the Huon News office in Franklin.

Once a month we put a call out for pictures of tiny new arrivals to the Huon Valley... giving you the opportunity to introduce your newest family member to the community, plus the chance to win a $50 voucher from the Geeveston Pharmacy.

1. Send us a photo of your baby or new addition to the family.
2. Include their name, date of birth/age, your town in the Huon Valley, and parents' names.
At the end of each month we will publish the New Arrivals we receive and randomly select one submission for a $50 voucher, generously donated from the Geeveston Pharmacy.
Deadline for this month's submissions is Monday, October 27.

History will be made this Saturday, as for the first-time ever, both the Cygnet Football Club and Huonville Lions will play off against each other in the SFL Tasmania- the home of community football Community League Under 18 Boys, Reserves and Seniors Grand Finals at North Hobart Oval.

Pick up your copy of the Huon News today to see the latest before these two cross-town rivals face off this Saturday. We've got President's reports, a word from each of the coaches, and players to watch!
