Cranbourne Leader covers the Casey region in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, between 28 and 60 kilometres of the CBD.
Suburbs covered include Cranbourne, Cranbourne East, Cranbourne West, Cranbourne North, Cranbourne South, Botanic Ridge, Selandra Rise, Devon Meadows, Five Ways, Hampton Park, Lynbrook and Pearcedale.
It’s a rapidly developing residential area, with large areas of land still allocated for urban development, and surrounding rural areas. The City of Casey encompasses a total land area of about 410 square kilometres. Rural land is used mainly for grazing, horse agistment, market gardening and flower growing, with substantial areas of open space/parklands.
The population for 2020 is 369,214, and is forecast to grow to 549,190 by 2041.
