It’s here!!!

Release day for .movie
I did it. We did it. We made a feature film and it’s in cinemas.

bought me 3 great ideas 4 years ago. I connected with the thematics and story behind all of them but strategically .movie seemed like the smartest move. And here we are.

Thank you Miley for your creativity, your passion, your openness. Hopefully the first of many more feature films for you and with you.

Thank you to all our cast and crew. I’m in love with them all. Everyone worked so god damn hard to make this the best film it could be with the resources we had available to us. EVERY 👏🏽 SINGLE 👏🏽 PERSON 👏🏽 at every stage bought their A Game! Look at what we did with so few resources.

We could have done it without the funding and support of Screen Australia, Screen West, Mind the Gap, Film Finances, Blato Investments and Miley and Myself. We got some money to pay back now!

Our ANZ distribution Icon gave us a chance that made this all possible and supported us and trusted us each step of the way.

Making films is bloody hard. Go watch them in cinemas.

Last year Andrew F Peirce asked me to write the forward for his next book about Australian cinema.

Funnily enough, I wrote the forward while I was at LAX waiting for a flight back to Australia... where Miley and I had just been pitching our feature. I talk about my hopes and dreams for making my first feature as lead producer and the responsibility I feel towards making an AUSTRALIAN film. And we've just finished shooting the feature! HOORAH!

Fabulous friends ... GOOD NIGHT by the brilliant David Vincent Smith is now available to watch online.

I am seriously so proud of this little film. DVS and I have always wanted to work together so we set ourselves a task to create something that was mostly filmed in one location with only two cast and then we winged a break in covid lockdowns to film it over one weekend and we made it for no money just to work with friends and stretch our muscles.

A lot of the brilliant cast and crew on this went on to work with DVS on his debut feature - He Aint Heavy.

This film has played at San Jose International Short Film Festival Flickerfest, Los Angeles Film Festival, Bahamas International Film Festival, WA Made Film Festival, Revelation Film Festival

Won silver in the WA ACS Awards,
Won the Best Short Film Audience Award at Sedona International Film Festival,
Nominated for Best WA Short CinefestOZ,
Won best film at Francigena Film Festival,
Nominated best short film at Heart Of Gold International Short Film Festival

and has been invited to screen at Arakwal NAIDOC Week, Cambodian International Film Festival, and at the Australian Consulate-General in Hong Kong.
