Dive in deep with the project I'm currently involved in❤️

Okay, so hear me out.

We all know someone who’s struggling - maybe it’s unemployment, a relationship breakdown, poor health, or just being stuck in a job that drains the life out of them. The list goes on.

One of the reasons we love going to shows and festivals is the opportunity to connect with people. More often than not, I find myself talking with wives and partners about how much their loved one is struggling. We throw that word around, nod and sigh but what if we could actually do something about it? Even something small?

Because whether it’s a veteran battling with DVA just to be seen as human instead of paperwork, or a partner carrying the entire family on their shoulders with no time or money left for themselves, the load is heavy.

Now, my personal reach only goes so far. But what if we could connect you with a blacksmith or knifemaker in your area to provide that 1:1 forge time? The kind of space where you can sit at a table, be seen and heard, and lose yourself in the rhythm of making something with your hands. A place where the noise in your head finally quiets down.

Here’s the thing; if every one of our NGKnives: The Art of Makingfollowers bought just one Naked Knifemaker Calendar, we’d raise $97,590 🤯

That’s enough to:
🔥 Subsidise classes for those who need them most
🔥 Host mental health events and forge-based outreach
🔥 Build a “who to call” library for the moments before you wonder if tonight’s the night to call an ambulance
🔥 And invest directly back into the blacksmithing and knifemaking community by supporting makers who’ve completed our mental health training program and can deliver the same supportive, high-quality experiences you’ve come to expect from NGK.

Because this isn’t just about forging metal. It’s about showing you that even when you truly feel broken, you can be reforged with purpose.

The last few months i've been working with Sammie and Nick from NGKnives: The Art of Making to create their 2026 The Naked Knifemaker Calendar.
This has been one of the most exciting times creatively and have met some amazing artisans who have bared all. Here is a clip of some of the fun I've had along the way.❤️📸

I had the most amazing day working with Sammie and Nick from NGKnives capturing and creating content for The 2nd Annual Naked Knifesmaker Calendar.

I met some absolutely amazing Blacksmiths, Knifemakers and Hobbyists today who were brave and bold to be a part of this wonderful men's health charity cause.

Last week, I ticked Whale Watching off the bucket list with one of my best friends. I also discovered that being on a real boat out on the rough ocean, I get extremely seasick 🤢🤣📷

So happy to announce my partnership with NGKnives to bring life to The 2nd Annual Naked Knifesmaker Calendar and Project!

Brave and beautiful Blacksmiths and Knifemakers from around the State will be coming together in this project to bare themselves and their stories for the fight and support against Men's Mental Illness.

Money raised this year will go towards registering "The Anvil Assignment," a Men's Mental Health Charity.
"Which, through blacksmithing-based workshops, hands-on outreach, and support resources for partners. Will offer connection, resilience, and real tools for navigating mental health challenges."

Sponsorship and advertising are still available for the 2026 Calendar and project. Please contact the team at NGKnives for more information.

The secret to being a good photographer is adaptation. Even with the best of equipment, life throws you some curveballs to keep you technically and creatively on your toes.

This series was meant to be beautiful images of whales. Our trip got cancelled 30 minutes before we were set to leave; the weather decided to violently conjure some beautiful waves and dark skies.

My friend Maree took me to a place I had never been before in Qld with a magnificent lookout and plenty of scenery to get creative with.

I live to have a whale of a time another day!
