Michael Walmer

Michael Walmer Boutique print-on-demand Publishing books and e-books worldwide. Of the 10 first authors 5 are wits ranging in era from the 1890s to the 1930s.

Others are planned further down the line. My mission also includes neglected modern classic writers and full-blown classics from all literary areas and eras. Mainly fiction, but class non-fiction and standout poetry will also feature.

Just letting all followers here know: as Facebook is becoming a toxically ad-laden, effectively unusable platform, this page will be going dormant for the present, as the Twitter one has. I've signed up to Bluesky however, so we'll see how that goes! Please feel free to connect there if interested. Thanks for all interest shown in the past.🙏

Review by Rob Spence, 9 Jan 2025 This book, by the strangely neglected author of a number of novels in the fifties and sixties, is another welcome publication from the UK’s northernmost publisher, …

The first review of the new era is from an old friend, Karen of Kaggsy's Bookish Ramblings, celebrating May Sinclair's first book from 1886, Nakiketas and other poems. Thankyou Karen.

It’s been a little while since I reviewed any releases from Michael Walmer’s imprint, and indeed I believe Mike has been spending some time sorting out distribution for his titles. Howe…

Just a small announcement to break the silence. The last eight months have been about working toward representation and distribution in the UK book trade. Relying on Ingram alone has meant very quiet sales. I felt the need to step that up a bit, and wanted the books to achieve a bit more sales-wise, and be seen in discerning bookshops

So, from March 1, Michael Walmer will be represented to UK bookshops by Signature Book Representation, and distributed by Central Books. The rest of the world will continue, for the moment, to have availability through Ingram.

Personal perspective: treating this cautiously, wondering if it will work....but enthusiastic all the same....

splendid second review of the Benson, this time on Shiny New Books, and from a good new friend of the company, Helen Parry. My thanks to her.

Review by Helen Parry Mrs Hinds beamed at Ipsie through pince-nez and bubbled her joy through thin lips, but Ipsie made no reply. Americans see English people always reduced to dumbness on first in…
