🌈 A little mental health gift… from me, to me 💛

I made this quilled rainbow heart as a reminder to slow down, breathe, and create just for the joy of it. It’s not perfect - not even close - but it brought me peace, and that’s what really matters.

This piece isn’t for sale (unless Create A Design takes an unexpected turn 😅), but I wanted to share it anyway in case it brings someone else a little spark of joy too.

🚛 Client Work: Logo Refresh

A few days ago, I received a message from a new client looking for some fresh logo variations, not a full rebrand, just a couple of alternate designs that would look great on hats, footy shorts, and other promo gear!

For I kept their signature badge-style layout and colour palette, but updated the truck to feature their current vehicle.

Then for WYDI Group (same client!), I created two simplified versions of their original logo, one focused on the truck, the other highlighting the machine.

This wasn’t about reinventing the wheel, it was about evolving what already worked and giving them more usable options for different formats.

I started this piece on February 1st… and finished it June 19th. 😅
Why? Anxiety.
I was so scared to mess it up, I just didn’t do it.

But… it’s DONE. 10 hours of work. A piece filled with love, nerves, perfectionism and finally, pride.

Thank you Anastasia for trusting me with this beautiful, intimate moment 💛 I’ve already grown since starting it, and now I’m ready to take on the next!

Taking a little mental health break from digital drawing and letting myself hyper-focus on something totally different, paper quilling! ✨

This is only my third piece, and I’m kind of obsessed 🥹 It says “Cameron” (if it’s not super obvious haha), with a butterfly perched on the “n” and rainbow quills flowing around it 🌈🦋

I actually re-used bits from my second piece that I was about to chuck in the bin 🤭 So this one’s a mix of chaos and creativity… and honestly, I’m loving it. I’ve loved quilling since high school, but this is the first time in years I’ve touched coloured paper.. and it feels so good to create just for fun again 💖

Thinking of doing a rainbow heart next, filled with all sorts of different coils and shapes 🫶🏼 What should I try after that?

A few weeks ago I asked ChatGPT to imagine what a physical space for Create A Design might look like, honestly, it was just a bit of fun, something playful to visualise this little dream of mine. But when I saw “Create A Design” up on the wall with a cozy, creative, community space wrapped around it… something clicked. 😍

I could see it. I could feel it. A real space. For art. For connection. For me.

Fast forward to today, I asked for a version that felt more personal. A smaller setup. My own little art cave. My iPad, my Wacom, my printer. A couple of communal tables. A space for mediums and mess, coffee and colour, 2000s bangers on in the background (you know it’s going to be vibey). 🎶☕✨

The second image? That’s me. That’s what my dream office could look like.

✨ Reintroducing ✨

This beauty has been in the works for a few weeks now, and she’s finally here! 🎉 You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet lately, but that’s because I’ve been pouring my heart into perfecting this brand refresh. Every single element of this design means something, and I’m so proud to share it with you 💜

🧵 The ‘D’ with a twist… we’re keeping the legacy alive by incorporating a needle and thread directly into the ‘D’- a subtle nod to Dardinie’s original logo and love for handmade creations. 🪡

🦋 The dragonfly is completely hand-drawn, this delicate dragonfly features a Celtic-inspired pattern, honouring Dardinie’s family roots and history while reinforcing the handcrafted essence of her brand.

🎨 A rich, deep violet and calming teal were chosen purely because they’re her favourites- and if you know anything about Dardinie, it’s that she puts love and personal flair into everything she does 💫

This is more than a logo, it’s a brand story brought to life.
I’m beyond honoured to have worked on this for such a creative, passionate, and lovely client 💜
