This week Keith and I were joined by Robert Pattison from Swift Tiny Homes and Andy Greig from Cloverdale Community Centre who are combining in a Social Enterprise to provide tiny homes in flatpack form to help meet the housing needs of people in our community. The extra kick for the community is that people are developing trade skills by creating the homes through Cloverdale Community Centre in North Geelong. On Thursday Keith and I spoke with Brodie Paul who is a Surf Coast local who loves a healthy life that includes a high level of fitness. He recently started a running group called the One Percent Club that runs every Wednesday at 6.30am. His group has now made a social connection with the Wednesday Waders who have a morning swim. He tells us how these social connections have provided enormous benefits for the members of both these community groups.

This week Keith and I had the pleasure of chatting with James Logan who was recently awarded The Active Achievement Award at the City of Greater Geelong Youth Awards for 2025. James is a swimmer who will proudly represent Australia at the Deaflympics in Japan later this year with his brother Dylan.

After 9 am we meet professor Dan Ierodiaconou who has a keen interest in the movement/ migration of Kingfish around Australia.

Following Dan we will talk to James Logan who recently won a City of Greater Geelong Youth Award and will be heading to Japan to swim in the Deaflympics for Australia.

After 10 we will talk to Leah Alstin who lives with Ataxia about the latest medical trials her role as an ambassador for Run4Geelong, her role as an MC and all being done while building a house!
