Angela observed first hand the need for a Wildlife Rescue soshe lives. So she set up Bannockburn Wildlife Rescue.

We talked about the challenges of playing 72 holes of golf in a day in summer to raise money for the cancer council and walking the three capes walk in Tasmania to getting more TISM played on 94.7 The Pulse

On Thursday Keith and I had a great chat with Phoebe Robb who owns and operates the South Geelong Farmers Market. We talked about the amazing feel the market has and how Phoebe is constantly on the alert to maintain and improve it. I was excited to discover that next Sunday 7th June they will have a farm animal petting zoo for the grandchildren!

On Thursday Keith and I had the pleasure of having a conversation with Geraldine Fitzgerald who has moved to the Geelong region in recent times. She talked to us about how the move reignited her love for singing as she joined the Surf Coast Big Band.
She also talks about how Geelong provides its community with access to amazing artistic offerings.

This week Keith and I had another great chat with Hayley Boehm from the Wathaurong Aboriginal Co Op who talked to us about her attendance at the Women Deliver Conference which included speakers such as Julia Gillard and Jacinda Ardern. The highlight for Hayley was that she also was invited to give a presentation herself to indigenous women from all around the world.

On Thursday Keith and I had the pleasure of talking to Bree Sarah and Dr Caitlin Murphy from Barwon Health about the importance and value of clinical trials that are being run in Geelong. Dr Caitlin is an oncologist and she talked in particular about the improvements in the treatment of cancers due to the ability to carry out these trials. They both emphasised the significant value that participants get from being part of clinical trials.
