Geelong’s own music festival, The Motor City Music Festival, will rock out on five stages and is a fully licensed event for over 18 year olds. Geelong's Iconic Floating Christmas Tree

The iconic 25 metre tall Geelong Floating Christmas Tree was switched on at 8:30 pm on Friday the 21st of November 2014 by Geelong Mayor Darren Lyons in front of over 15,000 delighted onlookers. Containing over 400 LED lights and synchronized to a music track, via an mobile app available on www.centralgeelong.com.au, the show was described by many as being "Beautiful", "amazing" and "great for the kids".
