I had someone tell me once they were fine, they’d dealt with it, they’d moved on. And their shoulders were up around their ears the whole time they said it. The body knew something the mind had decided not to look at. We get so good at packing things away and calling that healing. It’s not the same thing. Moving on and actually clearing it are two different jobs.

This weekend brings the solstice, the year's biggest turning point whichever side of the world you're on. For those of us down south it's the longest night, with that pull to slow right down and go quiet. Up north it's the longest day, all that light and a system that struggles to switch off. Different weather, same turning point, and sensitive bodies tend to feel it well before the date ever confirms it. Whatever the season's doing where you are, what's it doing to your energy? 💜

There’s this thing where I can’t actually begin a task until the decks are clear. Clear inbox, clear notifications, clear head. Except the notifications never stay cleared, so I’m forever about to start. My nervous system has decided that a tidy phone equals permission to begin, and it will not be reasoned with.
